Overview of Position: Assist Broker Sales Manager in maintaining the integrity of
MCH customer base; responsible for inbound and outbound customer support via telephone, email, and
fax communications; enter count requests and orders; ensure broker sales support for customers and
prospects, coordinate sales information on a daily and weekly basis on all sales activities as it
relates to revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide count and order requests as these arrive from broker customers, as well as a backup for
other territories; handle phone queries by paging personnel; follow up with customers on counts,
prices, terms, delivery information, and other requests generated by customers.
- Track work related to MCH Response Lab; customer projects; assist broker sales manager to
resolve customer issues; capable to refer and transfer complex issues to broker sales
manager.
- Work collaboratively at all levels to ensure consistent communication with all territory sales
managers, national accounts manager, director of sales, and all other MCH internal departments on
sales outcomes related to lead generation, new customer acquisition, and maintaining current
customers; interface with various internal MCH departments, including Marketing, Response Lab,
Accounting, to ensure proper customer request and/or resolution.
- Electronically, or in hard copy, file, scan, fax documents to customers as needed.
- Gather historical and current customer information for sales forecasting and budgets, as
requested.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or related experience in sales.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and conduct multiple tasks for extended periods of
time, while maintaining superior customer service.
- Must have a full understanding of the sales process and how it links to other functional
areas.
- Determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way; use goals to guide
actions.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; develop
and maintain a system of records.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet customer deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with external
customers and internal MCH departments; read and interpret complex information; talk with customers
or clients; listen well.
