Site-Based Managed Schools are public schools where the authority and responsibility to run the school have been passed down from the district office to a school management team. The team includes the principal, other school-level staff, and local community delegates, usually parents of children in the school. Site-based managed schools make their own purchase decisions and thus need to be mailed to individually. Because of their decision-making autonomy, site-based managed schools can respond 20-40% better than non site-based managed schools in school level mailings.
